Join CEF at free book fairs across Chatham County this May and June and help students choose books of their own to keep and enjoy over the summer.
Books on Break is one of the most joyful ways to support local students. Volunteers help children browse and choose books to keep and read over the summer, and they get to see firsthand just how excited kids are to build their own home libraries. It’s a great opportunity to get inside our schools, interact with students, and be part of an experience that encourages both literacy and a love of reading.
