AVID Program Scholarships – AVID is an acronym for Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a nationally recognized non-profit college readiness system with the mission to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society. Aspiring Educator Scholarship – In 2016 CEF established an Aspiring Educator Scholarship. The Chatham Education Foundation’s Aspiring Teachers Scholarship is for seniors at Jordan-Matthews High School, SAGE Academy, Northwood High School or Chatham Central High School. Students must be pursuing a post-secondary degree in education and hold a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
