The Chatham Education Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises money to provide grants to teachers for projects that enhance the educational experience in the classrooms of Chatham County schools. CEF provides instructional resources to teachers to invigorate classroom teaching. CEF funds teachers' professional development in the sciences, mathematics, journalism, performing arts and technology. Empowering and motivating teachers to improve the educational outcomes for every student is the charge of the Chatham Education Foundation.
In 2013, Governors Club played host to an event in support of the Chatham County Education Foundation. A Toast of Governors Club, sponsored by the Wine Society and the Governors Club, included a Spanish Tapas Menu, Spanish Wine Bar, Live Music and a Silent Auction. Supporters paid for a ticket to the event with 30% of the ticket price being donated directly to the Chatham
